Site description:
A steep sided fell overlooking Grasmere. Part of the Blea Rigg ridge. Altitude 394m.
Geology:
Impermeable Borrowdale Volcanics (Tuffs).
Ecology:
Sheep fescue, bracken and upland herbs are found on the top with bog species in the wetter areas among them parsley fern. Trees are found on the lower slopes.
Level of use:
Moderate
Its network of paths gives access to the Langdale and Grasmere valleys and routes up to Blea Rigg.
